The 4th Towerrunning European Championships will take place on May 21, 2022 in Warsaw at Rondo 1 ( Bieg Na Szczyt Rondo 1 / Rondo 1 Run Up ). The European Championships are organized as a joint project of the Towerrunning World Association (TWA) and the organizers of Rondo 1 Run Up.

The European Championships are in the Towerrunning 200 Race Category.
Athletes have to climb two times the 38 floors of Rondo 1 (individual mode) – the cumulated time of each athlete is evaluated.

Non-European athletes are also very welcome. The Towerrunning European Championships are a regular Towerrunning Tour event . Ranking points are awarded to all competitors. Cash prizes and invitations are exclusive privileges of European athletes.

Prize money for the top 6 male/female athletes:

1st place 1200 €
2nd place 800 €
3rd place 500 €
4th place 350 €
5th place 250 €
6th place 200 €

Invitations for leading Towerrunning athletes comprise of:

Free accommodation for two nights in Warsaw (May 20 – May 22)
Travel reimbursement of 150 €

Invitations are provided for:

– European Champions from 2016 ( male, female )
– 2 athletes ( male, female ) nominated by our European National Associations
– 2 wildcards ( male, female ) selected by the TWA

Application process for the Towerrunning European Championships will be run by the Towerrunning World Association. All registered TWA athletes can join the European Championships. Athletes competing in the Towerrunning European Championships tournament will be exempt from the entry fee for Rondo 1 Run Up.

Additionally the event organizer may nominate up to 6 home athletes ( 4 male / 2 female ) to participate. Precondition is an active TWA- membership.

Athletes not selected for invitations but willing to compete in the European Championships should send their confirmation to  lukasz@sportevolution.pl till May 1, 2022.
